FORMAT:

All players will participate in an 18-hole stroke-play qualifying round. Amongst the 10 sectional qualifying sites, a total of 180 players will advance to the 85th SCGA Amateur Net Championship at Industry Hills Golf Club on Monday – Tuesday, April 8 - 9, 2019. The final number of qualifying spots at each site will be available from the Committee on the day of play.

The qualifying and championship fields will be divided evenly into four flights based on each competitor’s lowest Handicap Index from December 15 to the March 1 revision. During qualifying, all competitors will play to their lowest Handicap Index from December 15 to the March 1 revision and will receive 100% of their Course Handicap (unless otherwise noted by the SCGA). In the event of a tie for the last qualifying place or an alternate's position in any flight, the USGA method of matching scorecards will be used to break all ties starting with Holes 10 – 18. (See Section 5 of the Committee Procedures).

Flight Breakdown (Players are flighted by lowest Handicap Index from December 15 to March 1):

Arroyo Flight: 7.0 and below

Mission Flight: 7.1 – 10.0

Pacific Flight: 10.1 – 13.5

REGISTRATION:

There will be no formal registration at this event. Players must check in with the Pro Shop if they wish to rent a golf cart.

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:

Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the tournament. Starting times will range from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 9:30 a.m. off the 1st tee.

Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
